REAL MADRID VS SPORTING GIJON: 3-2

Isco late goal keeps Real Madrid on the hunt of LaLiga title race. Isco and Morata help Real Madrid to edge past Sporting Gijon in a narrow 3-2 victory. Spanish star forward Isco showed his sublime form with two excellent goals.

As the match started in El Molinon Stadium Coach Zinedine Zidane took some tough decisions to rest their key players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, and Karim Benzema they played a tough game earlier this week against Bayern Munich. A new frontline striker was introduced as to test their bench strength capabilities in form of Lucas, Morata and Marco. These players showed the great skill of character by pulling off a thriller in last minutes of the match. Madrid started the second half from where they left by putting huge pressure on Gijon defenders. In 50’ Once again it was Gijon who managed to score when Babin gets well behind the back post and heads an angled cross into the far corner away from the goalkeeper. Coach Zidane was seen angry with players as they allowed them to take the lead. In 59’orata comes to rescue Madrid with Danilo superb right-hand side cross where Morata at the back post headed the ball powerfully across and into the nets. As the match progressed Madrid played more aggressively as they had almost 69% of ball possession in the entire match. In the 90’ Isco goal finally, put the game into Madrid favour. Isco picked the ball 20 yards away from nets and then fired a low shot to the bottom corner of the nets. Thus, at the end of Full-time Real Madrid just managed to pull the game into their favour with a score of 3-2.
