BARCELONA VS REAL SOCIEDAD: 3-2

Barcelona won a hard fought victory over Real Sociedad to keep their LaLiga title hopes alive and put pressure on Real Madrid. Lionel Messi put his best performance to bring back the winning momentum for Barcelona after their consecutive defeat against Malaga and Juventus last week. Paco Alcacer who replaced Neymar who has been ruled out on a ban too scored in Barca’s victory.

The match started at Camp Nou stadium in Barcelona and thus it was an easy way for Barcelona to return to their winning days. Coach Luis Enrique was a bit tensed as they lost their last two matches and their striker Neymar was out with a one-match suspension. Barcelona led the formation of 4-1-2-1-2 whereas Real Sociedad All In One Frame Dailylifedosefollowed 4-3-3. As the match started Barcelona played with the clear mindset to attack as they kept threatening Real defence from both the sides. Barcelona then counter-attacked and scored another goal thanks to a fine assist from Messi as Paco Alcacer did no mistakes to put right into the nets. The first half thrill was still not over as Xabi Prieto pulled back the Barcelona’s lead. The first half of the match saw 5 goals as both the teams were trying to attack. Barcelona leads 3-2 at the end of first half of the match.

In the second half, Barcelona was strong in their defence as they already gave Real a chance for coming back through an own goal. Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi kept on playing their natural brand of soccer their left-right combination. They both managed to break Real’s defence but couldn’t score. Overall Real Sociedad played much attacking as they had 51% of ball possession during entire match out of which they took 14 shots two more than Barcelona but just couldn’t put them on target. At the end of full-time Barcelona managed to earn themselves a hard fought victory against Real Sociedad with a score of 3-2. All the goals were scored in first half of the match. Barcelona now moves forward into the potential defining week of the season where they now trail 0-3 from their last defeat against Juventus. Barcelona then will travel to Madrid to face off Real Madrid with a hope to return to the top of LaLiga.
