REAL MADRID VS MALAGA: 2-0

Real Madrid won its 33rd league title on Sunday ahead of their arch-rival Barcelona from claiming their third straight Championship. Madrid claimed its first title after 5 years with a 2-0 win over Malaga with goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema. It has been the remarkable season for Real Madrid as they clinched and are into the finals of UCL. Zinedine Zidane sense of achievement had no bounds when Madrid was crowned the LaLiga Champions and said he experienced as a player when he won LaLiga in 2002-03 and Champions League in 2001-02.

The match started at La Rosaleda, and everyone knew that Real Madrid just needed a win to be crowned as Champions. Zinedine Zidane strategies reflected on the field Cristiano Ronaldo La Ligaas he placed a formation of 4-1-3-2 while Malaga placed a formation of 4-2-3-1. Sandro Ramirez had chances to equalise for the home side when in the 12’a low shot was saved from Navas. Malaga was pushed to backfoot from start but they never gave up as they had almost 55% of ball possession during the entire match. At the end of Half-time Real Madrid lead the score-line 1-0.

As usual, Real Madrid started the second half on high and it was 55’when Karim Benzema doubles the lead for Real Madrid from the right footed shot from a very close range to the centre of the goal. It was a brilliant corner assist from Raphael Varane. It was extra celebrations for Real Madrid as they became the first club in history to score in every La Liga games of the season. The victory keeps Real Madrid high spirited on course for European Championship Final against Juventus. Malaga tried hard to score but Keylor Navas saved a couple of good saves to upset the host. At the end of full-time Real Madrid won the match as well as the LaLiga Championship with a score of 2-0. Real Madrid became the first team to win the title at La Rosaleda since Rafael Benitez’s Valencia in 2002. It was Real Madrid longest streak without winning the La Liga since 1994.
