World record from ISRO:
In February 2017, the Indian Space Research Organisation claims the new world record of launching 104 satellites in a single shot. Out of the total 104 satellites, 101 satellites are from other countries such as the United States, United Arab Emirates, Israel, Netherland, Kazakhstan, and Switzerland. India created the history by launching 104 satellites by ISRO. It was the 39th successful mission by the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle-C37. It’s really created a reputation for being very reliable space launcher.
For the first time in human history, more than a hundred satellites were launched in a single rocket. ISRO broke the previous record held by Russia. Which sent 37 satellites in space by their modified inter-continental ballistic missile and ISRO did it by their PSLV. In late 2016, the plans were a bit less ambitious as originally ISRO wanted to launch 68 satellites. Gradually, more satellites were added which made the project even bigger challenge. And then the final decision was made, ISRO is ready to launch 104 satellites in a PSLV-C37 rocket. This is 44.4 meters tall and has a weight of 320 tons. Among all the satellites, the heaviest satellite Cartoset-2 series.
Dangal becomes the first Indian movie to earn Rs 2000 Crore:
Dangal is a kind of wrestling sport infamous in the Northern region of India. There have been various stars from this sport and it is indeed a tough sport to play. Haryana is a state where women were not allowed to play Dangal and similar kind or sports but the legendary wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat coming out of the box and trained his daughters to play Dangal (wrestling) and started their training at an early stage. This movie entirely depicts the real-life journey of this family and how his daughters managed to bring the first gold medal in the Common Wealth Games.
Dangal is an Indian feature film based on this story and it has recently broken all records. The success of Aamir Khan’s Dangal goes beyond the box office. Triple Talaq banned:
The Muslim community is very strict to their rules and regulations. This community provides the freedom of multi marriages and talaq (divorce) to the males. Women in this community suffered from these rules and outraged a serious protest against the triple talaq ritual. In this system, they were not asked for their consent and if the husband wants a divorce he gets it easily. But not now as on 22 August 2017, India’s Supreme Court has banned the practice of verbal divorce known as to luck which allowed men to end our marriage simply by saying or sending the word divorce three times to their wives.
The ruling says the government must write new legislation to protect women. The practice drew controversy when a mother of two challenged her husband attempt to divorce her by post. At least 22 Muslim majority countries have banned the practice. Some Indians still believe in triple Talaq.

Dera Sacha Sauda Massacre:
Being the populism and democratic country, India is the most amazing land with numerous stories and facts. There are many Gurus, spiritual leaders, Babas etc which claim to be enlightened from the supreme power and have millions of followers in their name. They all have now become the brands and most of them are fooling the illiterate with loads of unethical activities and rituals. Such is the case with Dera Such Sauda. This organization has its base at Sirsa Haryana and it has huge followers which on calculations come out to be more than 6 crores.
With such a huge team the influential Guru Sant Gurmeet Singh Ram Rahim manages with environmental and spiritual activities. But now this Guru is sentenced to imprisonment by the Haryana High Court under the charges of raping two of his followers. The case ran for more than 15 years and the proofs were provided by the CBI. The interesting scene started on the day of the judgment when lakhs of his followers started gathering in huge number in the region of Panchkula Haryana. The situation became critical after the judgment when the followers became furious and behaved like zombies on roads. But due to military activities, this incident was managed but still, it covered 20-30 deaths and 100 of car burnt including some Governmental buildings. As per safety concerns, holidays were imposed for a week and there were no internet services in the north region. Now, this Guru is in Rohtak Jail and all the accounts and Dera’s are sealed.
Men’s Hockey team wins 2017 Asia Cup:
It was indeed a kudos moment for the Indian Hockey team to win the Asia cup for the third time. Indian men’s hockey team success in brought the Asia cup back home after 14 years. Dominant Indian team beat Malaysia with 2-1 in a thrilling finale to win the 2017 Asia Cup Hockey tournament held on Dhaka 22 October 2017. India has held the Asia cup three times in the history. Earlier India men’s hockey team won the Asia Cup in 2003 and 2007. Top-Ranked India finished unbeaten in the tournament, having won all its matches except for the 1-1 draw against Korea in the Super 4 stage.

Miss World is the title where a female candidate competes with other candidate’s from the world for this special title. Manushi Chillar from India has been crowned the title of Miss World 2017 almost 16 years after Priyanka Chopra won the title in 2000. She competed against 118 contestants from various countries at a glittering event held at the Sanya City Arena in Sanya, China. She won the 67th edition of the Miss World pageant. Stephanie Hill from England was titled the first runner-up, while Mexico Andrea Meza of Mexico was the second runner-up in the 67th edition of the Miss World pageant. Manushi Chillar is 20 years old from the city in the Haryana state of India called Sonipat and she is also a medical student at Bhagat Phool Singh Medical College in Sonipat.

Women’s Indian cricket team enters into the world cup after many years but unfortunately, the team led by Mithali Raj will lose the ICC Women’s World Cup final match against England at Lord’s in London 23 July 2017. Earlier in the semi-final, Indian women team beat the Australia who was the defending champion. Harmanpreeet Kaur was player of the match, she scored 171* runs in just 115 balls and reach the ICC Women’s World Cup finals. This ICC world cup has completely changed the thinking of people who feel cricket is only made for Men’s.
Kulbhushan Jadhav:
Kulbhushan Jadhav was arrested in the March of last year for his alleged involvement in spying against Pakistan in both Balochistan and Karachi. This alleged Indian spying guru and other confessed to having to work for the Indian intelligence agency raw. Former Indian Navy officer Kulbhushan Jadhav was sentenced to death in a Court on 10 April 2017 after three months. According to the report earlier, Kulbhushan Jadhav also said that he set up a business in Iran where he working as undercover and then he also said that he made several visits to Pakistan not only in Balochistan but also the port city of Karachi.
Padmavati Controversy:
Even before its official release, Padmavati has troubled many Indians and especially the Karni Sena (Rajput Community). The film involves Rani Padmini (Padmavati) and her husband who defend their honour and prosperous kingdom from the invading army of Alauddin Khijli. Rani Padmavati is a respected idol in the Rajput community and they claim with the hurting of their religious sentiments. The protestors have accused the director of the film by distorting history by adding a romantic dream sequence between Rani Padmani and Khijli. However, this claim is denied by the filmmaker. The movie is based on the poem Padmavati which was written by Malik Mohammad Jayasi. It is not absolutely clear what exactly is in the movie as the movie is still not released and hence it is unwise to come to any conclusion at this stage. Padmavati is not the first movie which got associated with the first movie which got associated with such controversies and probably it is not the last one. This movie has passed the Indian Censor board and also cleared from the American Film association board but still, there are no final dates of its release till now.

Smog in Delhi:
The national capital of India is not so natural with living. With a population of millions, the National capital Region proves to be the most secure place to earn living through world-class jobs and businesses. All the big tycoons work from here and provide handsome jobs but with bygone times this place has become hell to live in. Delhi and the nearby suburbs have become the hazardous and poisonous place to live a healthy life. In comparison with the Air pollution level, Delhi has crossed 300 plus which is very critical and dangerous and harmful to live in. It may cause various air-borne diseases to the people living in this region.
During the festival season, Supreme Court banned the use of crackers and other products but still, the situation went out of control when smog covered the NCR for more than a week. Children were advised to remain at home and schools were closed. The Delhi Government put charges on the neighbouring states about the burnings of the crop waste and that smoke is pushed towards this region. Even the Delhi Government imposed the Odd-Even rule and regulations but this can’t cover up with the Air pollution level. It is indeed a very serious situation and if remain uncontrolled than this may even worsen in the coming days. This is literally a warning call and once the time is gone it will be very difficult to handle such situations practically.
