Google has finally taken the wrap off from its two much awaited phones. Recently, Google has announced its two much anticipated phones i.e. Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL. The duo are for the most parts identical to each other except for the physical design, resolution, display size and of course the presence of the higher milliamp hour rated battery which is present in the Google Pixel XL. Along with these two stunning phones, Google has also announced the starting price in India and other markets. Google Pixel starts at Rs 57,000 for 32 GB variants and Google Pixel XL will ask you to shell out Rs 67,000 for 32 GB variants.
Both the phones are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor with 4 GB RAM. Both the phones have identical 8 mp front camera and 12.3 mp rear camera and in many ways live up to the premium pricing. The Pixel XL looks great but it’s nice to see a no compromise android handset with a smaller display. Built in the partnership with HTC, the Pixel certainly has the whiff of the A9 about it. It is rounded with a flat back and it is designed with the mixture of metal and glass accents. It has the highest rated smartphone camera, unlimited storage for all the photos and videos on Google Photos, a long lasting battery and of course the first phone with the Google Assistant.
The Google Pixel combines hardware and software made by Google, including all your favorite and most recommended Google apps to bring you the seamless, fast and easy to use experience. It has the seamless glass aluminum body with smooth surfaces and easy to grip curved edges. It has the vivid and the cinematic display with brilliant AMOLED screen with true blacks and 16.77 million colors. Another surprising feature that Google Pixel offers is that it has the long lasting battery that charges fast. Just 15 minutes and the battery will be ready to work for the next 7 hours.
The Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL are the first phones to be made by Google “inside and out” which means that Google has done the mastermind experiment with the software as well as the hardware. They are also the first phones to ship with Googles’s newest operating system Android 7.1 Nougat and offer the cleanest android experience you are likely to get on the smartphones. The phones also pack some unique features that are only going to be for the Pixel line. These unique features aren’t expected to extend to the rest of Android phones other than Google.
Google Assistant:
The pixel and pixel XL are the first phones with the built – in Google assistant. The assistant gets prompted to the home screen and you can simply call it up by long pressing the home button. It is much more than just a voice search interface. It contextualizes the information it digs through your earlier interactions. This Google assistant is so like the Apple Siri but more advanced than that in some ways and allows you to have the two – way natural conversation. The assistant came across is a work in progress but Google says that the more you use it, the more it will become useful. The Google assistant is an ambient and cool experience that will work seamlessly across devices and contexts. A solid portion of the Google’s keynote is dedicated to the Google assistant, the search giant’s first and prime step towards the personal Al for your home.
Unlimited Photo and Storage
Now with Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL, say goodbye to those ‘storage full’ notifications. These phones are offering the unlimited backup of the photos and videos at full resolution even the videos recorded at 4K will be backed up for free on the cloud with no limit. This phone has the ultimate feature of the smart storage which automatically removes the images and videos to the cloud when it founds that you are running short on space. It picks the files automatically and thus saves your time in managing the storage problems. And, of course thanks to the backup services offered by Google, with the smart storage feature, you will not lose the quality of photos and videos at all. All these amazing features are available only in the Google Pixel and Pixel XL.
Camera:
Google has released pretty Pixel cameras. The Pixel has 12.3 mp rear camera and big 1.55 micron pixels to capture the lots of light. It allows you take the best shots in low light, bright light or in any light. The camera app available in these two stunning phones offers the clever feature i.e. Smartburst. It takes the rapid fire sequence of the shots and automatically selects the best ones. Isn’t it amazing that you need not spend any time to opt for the best shot from the lot????? I am sure the answer is YESSS. Apart from this, the camera also has the lens blur feature which is helpful in achieving the shallow depth of the field and bokeh effect, making your subject pop. The main distinguishing feature is that the two – tone black panel design, some seem to love it, other might loathe it. We are fairly neutral to be the honest. Google says that the Pixel scored 89 on DXO Mark’s camera test which means that it is apparently the best smartphone camera yet.
Google Daydream:
The Google Pixel and Pixel XL are also the first android phones to support Google’s VR platform, Daydream. The Google has announced its Daydream view VR handset which is designed to be the most comfortable VR handset in its class.
All Time Customer Support:
Google is aware of the issue regarding the customer support and hence offers 24/7 customer support both via text and voice. Well, this is the important and biggest issue with every phone and if Google has sorted this problem then no one can stop these Pixel phones from gaining the immense profit from the world market.
