PARIS SAINT GERMAIN FC VS MONACO: 4-1
PSG chalked up a fourth successive Coupe de La Ligue title with a 4-1 victory in the final against their arch rival Monaco. Unai Emery’s men PSG were second in their group to Monaco in League1, as they were unable to beat the Leader Monaco on two occasions in the League this season. It was PSG who secured the victory at Parc OL thanks to the first-half goal each from Julian Draxler and Angel Di Maria and then two after the break from striker Edinson Cavani.

LIVERPOOL DOMINATES OVER EVERTON YET AGAIN
It was the perfect climax for the French Coupe de La Ligue where Paris Saint-Germain comfortably defended their title for the record fifth straight time. As the match started PSG went in front at each end of the first half. The team line-up of the teams showed their mindset as PSG focused on attack but at the same time gave strength to their defence with the 4-3-3 formation, whereas Monaco focused completely on their defence 4-4-2. PSG showed their mindset from the start with their attacking game as it was 4’ in the match when Draxler scored the first goal of the match with an assist from Angel di Maria. Monaco was on backfoot right from the start of the match. It was Lemar who made no mistakes with his right-footed shot from distance to equalise the score for Monaco after a good work by Djibril Sidibe. A Danijel Subasic saves denied Cavani from Close range, and then at the other end, Kevin Trapp kept out Germain’s left footed effort. It was 44’ just as it seemed it would be all even till half time, it was again Draxler assists and Angel di Maria did no mistake to make the score line to 2-1 at the end of Half-time.
From the start of second half, Monaco looks to give PSG a threat when Joao Moutinho went close for scoring an equaliser but a brilliant save from PSG. Just then Marco Verratti set up Cavani, and he beat Subasic with a precise shot into the bottom left corner. Later Benjamin Mendly narrowly missed the shot for Monaco with a left-foot effort. Substitutes Irvin Carona and Nabil Dirar had a late chance each to reduce the score, but somehow PSG managed to control the game. It was in the last few minutes of the match when Cavani scored again with a left-footed shot in the 90’ making the score to 4-1 in favour of PSG.The result that PSG won in such a comprehensive manner was quite impressive. The energy was under excessive pressure coming to the clash and his player.

Both Angel Di Maria and Draxler were superb. The Argentina International star scored and provided two assists, and German international grabbed one of each in the aggressive form.
Emery PSG coach aligned the ideal starting XI which saw PSG dominance in the entire game and finally won the cup.
